The everyday reality

Most societies aren't badly managed. They're badly equipped.

The committee changes every year. The records don't travel with it. Here's what changes when the whole society runs on one system.

Without a system
  • Dues tracked in a spreadsheet only one person can open — and nobody can audit.
  • Reminders sent by hand, flat by flat, every single month.
  • Guards phoning residents to confirm every visitor and delivery.
  • Complaints raised in a WhatsApp group, then buried under 200 messages.
  • Handover to the next committee means a folder of receipts and a lot of trust.
With RWA Society
  • One ledger per flat, visible to the resident and the committee, with a full history.
  • Bills generated for the whole society in one run; reminders go out automatically.
  • Residents pre-approve visitors; the guard scans a QR and the entry is logged.
  • Every complaint becomes a numbered ticket with an owner and a status.
  • Handover is an account login — books, documents and audit trail already inside.
What you can run today

Every part of society operations, in one place

Start with billing and the gate. Turn on accounting, vendors, governance and reports when you're ready — no migration, no second vendor.

Maintenance billing

Billing cycles, per-square-foot or flat-rate rules, arrears and interest, receipts and a clean ledger for every flat.

Online payments

Residents pay by UPI, card or netbanking through Razorpay or Cashfree. Receipts are issued and reconciled automatically.

Visitor & gate security

Resident-issued QR passes, gate approve or deny, check-in and check-out, deliveries, domestic help and a permanent QR for every resident.

Complaints & helpdesk

Categorised, numbered tickets with status tracking, assignment and a full comment history residents can follow.

Society accounting

Chart of accounts, double-entry journals, expenses and ledgers — so the books are audit-ready without a parallel Tally file.

Amenities & bookings

Clubhouse, gym and hall slots booked from the resident app, with rules and a record of who booked what.

Parking & vehicles

Slot allotment, resident vehicle registration and a searchable gate vehicle log for every entry and exit.

Notices & alerts

Announcements that land in the resident app with push and email — instead of disappearing up a WhatsApp group.

Meetings & polls

AGM notices, agendas, minutes and resident polls with a verifiable record of the outcome.

Built for everyone in the society

Four very different people. One system they all actually use.

Secretary

Runs billing, approves join requests, publishes notices and answers "where is this money going?" with a report instead of an argument.

Treasurer

Sees collections, arrears and expenses in real time, with double-entry books that stand up to an audit.

Resident

Pays maintenance in three taps, invites guests with a QR, books the clubhouse and tracks complaints — all from one app.

Security guard

Signs in with a 4-digit MPIN, scans the visitor's QR, logs deliveries and vehicles, and raises an emergency in one tap.

Getting started

Live in a week, not a quarter

No servers to buy and no long implementation project. Most societies are billing from the platform within their free trial.

  1. Set up your society

Add buildings, wings, floors and flats — or just a flat list if your layout is simple. Flexible enough for a 40-flat society or a 20-tower township.

  2. Invite your residents

Residents sign up from the app, pick their flat, and wait for the office to approve. You stay in control of who gets in.

  3. Raise the first bill run

Set your billing rule once, generate the cycle for every flat, and switch on online payments with your own Razorpay or Cashfree account.

  4. Hand the guards a phone

Install the guard app at the gate. Visitor passes, deliveries and vehicle logs start recording from day one.

Mobile apps

Two apps do the heavy lifting

Software the committee logs into is only half the job. The gate and the residents need something that works on the phone in their hand.

Resident app

Bills and one-tap payment, visitor invites with a shareable QR pass, complaints, amenity bookings, vehicles, family members, daily help, notices and a permanent resident QR for the gate.

Allow installs from your browser if Android prompts you.

Guard app

MPIN sign-in, QR scanning for visitor passes and resident QRs, approve or deny at the gate, deliveries, domestic help, staff entry, vehicle logs and an emergency alert.

Built for shared gate handsets — fast sign-in, works one-handed.

Security & trust

Your society's money and data deserve better than a shared spreadsheet

RWA Society is multi-tenant by design: every record belongs to your society and is scoped to it at the database level. Nobody from another society can see your data, and inside your society people only see what their role allows.

Strict society isolation

Every query is scoped to your society. Cross-society access is blocked and tested.

Role-based permissions

Committee, accountant, manager and guard each get their own access. Change a role, change what they see.

Audit trail on what matters

Logins, user changes, billing and payment actions are recorded — so a handover is a fact, not a claim.

Simple pricing

Priced per society, not per headache

One subscription covers your committee, every resident and every guard. Both plans start with a 14-day free trial.

Questions committees ask us

Before you bring this to the committee

How long does it take to get our society running?
Setting up your structure and your first billing rule is usually an afternoon's work. The part that takes time is residents signing up, which is why we start you on a 14-day trial — you can onboard a couple of wings, prove it works, then roll out to everyone.
Do residents have to pay anything?
No. One society subscription covers every resident and every guard. The resident and guard apps are free to download and there is no per-user charge.
Where does the maintenance money go?
Straight into your society's own bank account. You connect your own Razorpay or Cashfree account, so collections settle directly to the society — we never hold your funds.
Can we move our existing dues and records in?
Yes. Flats, residents and opening balances can be loaded during onboarding so your first bill run on the platform starts from the right number. Ask us about migration when you book your demo.
What happens when the committee changes?
Nothing breaks. The data belongs to the society, not to a person's laptop. You deactivate the outgoing members, add the incoming ones, and the ledgers, documents and audit history stay exactly where they are.
Do we need an internet connection at the gate?
Yes — the guard app checks passes against your society's live records, so the gate handset needs a working mobile data connection. A basic Android phone on a normal data pack is enough.
